If you’re planning your first corporate video, cost is usually the first question, and the honest answer is: it depends. We’re asked this by businesses across Yorkshire and beyond every week, and we could give you a generic price list. But we don’t, because it wouldn’t actually help you, and here’s why.
What affects the cost of a corporate video?
Several factors move the price up or down: the length of the final video, whether it involves live-action filming, animation, or both, the number of locations and filming days, whether you need scriptwriting and storyboarding from scratch, the complexity of editing and colour grading, and whether you need multiple versions cut for different platforms, such as a short social edit alongside a longer website film.
Why we don’t quote from a generic price list
You’ll find plenty of price tables online claiming to tell you what a corporate video costs. The trouble is, two videos of similar length can cost very different amounts depending on the brief, and a generic price band either scares off a client whose project is actually straightforward, or undersells one that needs real craft and time. Neither helps you plan properly.
At Motiontm, every quote is built around your actual brief, not a template. We look at what you’re trying to achieve, who it’s for, where it will be seen, and what’s realistic for your timeline and budget, then price the project accordingly. That’s the only honest way to do it.
Why “cheaper” isn’t always better value
A lower quote from anywhere usually means less time spent on planning, fewer revision rounds, stock music instead of original sound design, or animation built from templates rather than from scratch. That’s not always a problem, it depends on where the video will be used. A video for an internal training session has very different requirements to one going on your homepage or in front of a new client.
